Our philosophy

Reconnecting with ourselves and with nature.

Revive & Thrive is rooted in the belief that many modern struggles stem from disconnection, from ourselves and from nature, and that the body has a remarkable natural capacity to find balance given the right conditions.

Alongside reflexology, my work draws on Reiki, auricular acupuncture and electrolysed reduced hydrogen water, which I use within some sessions as part of a general approach to hydration and everyday wellbeing. I also offer the water machines so clients can make their own electrolysed water at home.

Meet your practitioner

Janey Nightingale

I have been a qualified Reflexologist since 1999 and am a member of the Association of Reflexologists.

My career has taken me from Bamboo Yoga Retreat in South Goa to Uganda, where I represented Reflexology Outreach International supporting HIV/AIDS organisations.

As a co-founder of Bodywork, a former thriving practice in Hebden Bridge, I expanded my work to include Reiki, auricular acupuncture and electrolysed reduced hydrogen water protocols.

For more than 20 years I have worked in addiction and recovery, including 10 years in the NHS. Across very diverse settings, I have seen how much people value the calm and space that reflexology can offer.

At my private practice in Todmorden, I offer reflexology sessions and reflexology with Reiki. I look forward to meeting you soon.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What is reflexology?+

Reflexology is a structured, non-invasive practice based on the idea that specific points on the feet (and sometimes hands and ears) relate to areas throughout the body. Gentle, precise pressure is applied to these reflex points. It has roots in ancient traditions and many people enjoy it as a complement to conventional healthcare.

How does reflexology work?+

Reflexology takes a whole person approach, aiming to encourage a sense of balance across body, mind and emotions. Many people enjoy it for general wellbeing and relaxation.

Why do people come for reflexology?+

People often come looking for time to relax and unwind, including when life feels stressful, when sleep feels unsettled, or simply as regular self care. Reflexology is not a substitute for medical care, so please keep seeing your GP or healthcare professional for any health concerns.

Can reflexology help me relax?+

Most clients find sessions deeply relaxing, and many fall asleep. The calm, quiet setting is designed to give you space to switch off.

How many sessions will I need?+

There is no set number. Some people enjoy a single session, while others prefer a regular series as part of ongoing self care. We can talk about what suits you.

What can I expect during a session?+

A session lasts about an hour. You remain fully clothed, with only shoes and socks removed. We begin with a short chat about what you would like from the session, followed by a reflexology session that works methodically through the reflex points.
